Global Laser Cosmetics
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is finally here! San Diego Global Laser Cosmetics is excited to announce that we now carry VOLUMA® XC, another amazing filler to help you look your best! As we age, our cheeks flatten and become hollowed. Loss of volume in the mid-face region is one reason why people tend to develop jowls and nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the corners of your nose to the corners of your mouth). Voluma® XC is the first and only FDA-approved filler to correct age-related volume loss in the cheek area. If you’d like to renew your look instantly by restoring volume of your cheeks, consider Voluma® filler. Come to Global Laser Cosmetics today to see immediate results with Voluma®, a new exciting treatment!
What is Voluma® XC?
Voluma® XC is a gel which is injected into the patient’s cheek area that gently lifts the skin and helps restore volume to the facial muscles. The gel is made from a modified form of hyaluronic acid, which is basically a natural sugar complex that is naturally found in our bodies. As we age, muscles weaken and volume over different areas of the face is lost. Voluma® filler is meant to help improve the appearance and signs of aging by targeting the lack of volume and sagging skin in the cheek area to offer a subtle lift to the face.
How long will Voluma® last?
With optimal correction, patients can expect natural-looking results to last for a period of up to two years. Research has shown that hyaluronic acid has helped in the stimulation of collagen in our system, meaning results last longer in treatments using such ingredient. Factors which will play into the duration of results include:
- Body Chemistry
- Skins Current Appearance
- Area of Injection
Where can Voluma® be performed?
The Voluma® XC gel is applied directly to the cheek muscle. The gel is formulated to help add volume to all three areas of the cheek -the apex, apple, and hollow. When Voluma® is properly injected by our highly trained medical professionals, the treatment will result in gorgeous, natural-looking cheeks. Uses for lifting the jawline, or re-contouring the face have also been approved by the FDA. This injectable gel contains anesthetic lidocaine, which makes the procedure to only cause mild discomfort.
Who is a good candidate for Voluma® XC?
Adults of any age who notice changes to their mid-face or the chin or jaw line may be considered good candidates for treatment with Voluma®. Typical, early signs of aging may include a visible decrease in volume, a sagging of the cheeks or the loss of noticeable contour around the chin. While these are more commonly problems that people face as they age, younger men and women may experience them as well due to weight loss, heredity or a number of other factors.
Is there any downtime?
In most cases, there is little to no downtime, and individuals can resume social activities, or return to work on the same day in which the procedure is performed. In certain cases, bruising or mild swelling may appear on areas being treated the next day, so this is something to keep in mind when receiving Voluma® filler injections. Individuals undergoing their first treatment are more prone to bruising or mild swelling, so it is best to discuss with the specialist who is performing the treatment.
What is the cost of Voluma® filler?
The answer is individualized to the amount of Voluma® needed. If one injection site is being treated, versus complete facial re-contouring, prices will greatly vary. Furthermore, the location where treatment is taking place (larger areas tend to be costlier) will affect the cost. On average, patients can expect to pay $800-$1,000 per cc of Voluma® being injected, to a single area for treatment. If you are considering different treatments, from Botox®, Juvederm®, or even surgery, Voluma® facial filler is one of the many treatment options to consider. Not only is it a safe treatment, it is one which is cost effective, poses minimum number of risks or side effects, and the results can be seen immediately following treatment.
